Size and weight limits
- Minimum size (all letter mail): 140 × 90 mm.
- Standard: up to 245 × 156 × 5 mm and 50 g.
- Oversize / non-standard: up to 380 × 270 × 20 mm and 500 g.
- Over 500 g or over maximum size: parcel services only.
Extras
- Registered Mail™ (within Canada): $13.15 plus the lettermail postage. Adds proof of mailing and a signature on delivery.
- Postage meters / postal indicia: priced the same as stamps for most letter rates ($1.23 meter rate on a ≤ 30 g domestic letter); businesses mailing in volume can access Incentive Lettermail™ pricing, which is outside this guide's scope.
- Delivery standards: 2–4 business days within Canada depending on distance, 4–6 to the USA, 4–7 international. Standards, not guarantees.

Rate history
The domestic booklet stamp was 92¢ until May 2024, 99¢ until January 12, 2025, and $1.24 since January 13, 2025. Canada Post held letter rates steady through 2026. When rates next change, this page and the calculator are updated the same day.
